I have written a blog post before about how much I love Recoil Rifle Slings. Not only are they a veteran-owned company, they also offer job opportunities for several military veterans. Their hand-crafted paracord rifle slings are among the finest I have ever seen produced by anyone. I love paracord. It has a ton of different uses, especially in survival situations. Having a gun sling made of paracord is like combining two great utilitarian heroes! A sling made of paracord that supports a veteran? It just doesn’t get much better than this! Here’s a video on why I love Recoil Rifle Slings and why I think they are the best rifle slings you will ever own. Visit Recoil Rifle Slings for more info!
A cornerstone of working with Mac & Prowler’s TV show is that we use what we like and showcase those products on our show. We get a lot of products but our policy is that we only use what works in the field or on the water on our hunting and fishing adventures. I connected with Jeff at Hunting Revolution (www.huntingrevolution.com) through a connection we made on LinkedIn. Jeff is the inventor of the Twister Nock, Full Moon Nocks, the Tree Apron, and many other products.
One of his products caught my eye so I asked him to send me one. The Sling-On is a strap that keeps your gun or crossbow sling where it belongs – on your shoulder. If you have ever had to haul a lot of gear in or out of the woods or had to pack a harvested animal out of the woods and carry your gun, you know why a product like this is needed. I have been in more than a few situations where I have my hands full of gear and a gun on my shoulder and the sling slips off onto my arm. What a pain!
The Sling-On is a simple product but it makes sure your gun sling stay where it belongs. Another attractive feature about this product is that the strap that goes around your body is elastic and comfortable to wear for extended periods of time such as in spot and stalk or safari-style hunting. Check out www.huntingrevolution.com to learn more about the Sling-On and other products for hunting and other outdoor adventures. Here’s a video of me using the Sling-On.
One of the newer companies I have connected with lately is Got Reticle. You can check out this product at www.gotreticle.com. They make an awesome reticle illuminator that is powered by a replaceable battery and it also has a dimmer dial so you can adjust the brightness. I have been looking for a product like this. I have a few scopes that have red and green illuminated reticles but more that don’t. The nice thing about this product is that it fits any standard scope so it can be transferred to any of your scopes. This product installs easily and works every time. See my video below to learn more about this awesome product.
I have written and filmed before about Scopecoat products and how much I love the line of products from this company. All of my optics wear Scopecoat products. I was first introduced to this product in the fall of 2011. I promptly threw away all of my lens covers and other protective gear for my optics after I started using these products. There really is no comparison to how well Scopecoat products work. Not only do they protect your optics from dirt, snow, water, mud, or any other outdoor elements, they also fit well as they are sized to your optics and they are easy to take on and off quickly. Check out these fine products at www.scopecoat.com and be sure to also check out the BinoBibs for your binoculars. Measure your optics and order from there. This company is also among the best outdoor industry companies I have worked with as they are prompt in shipping and incredibly caring and courteous. Optics protection really doesn’t get any better than this!
